Prof. YANG Yijian
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (TECHNOLOGY)

Introduction

Professor Yijian Yang is a member of the International Society for Posture and Gait Research (ISPGR) and the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), Board Director of the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise (ASAPE), former Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, recipient of Mitacs Canada internship award (2015-2016) and Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research fellowship award (2016-2019). 

 

Professor Yang directs the Sports Biomechanics and Injury Prevention Laboratory at the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, CUHK, which studies musculoskeletal biomechanics related to human health and mobility. As the principal investigator, he has been awarded multiple research grants from CUHK and RGC. His research focuses on Mobility and Physical Activity, and Sports Biomechanics. 

 

He also serves as a guest editor of International Journal of Environmental Research & Public Health and on the editorial board of Journal of Exercise Science & Fitness and Injury Medicine.
