Mr. HO Cheuk-Yin, Oscar

Introduction

Mr. Ho Cheuk-yin is currently a PhD student at the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, CUHK with the degrees of BSc and MSc at CUHK. He is currently a Level 1 Referee under the Basketball Association of Hong Kong, China, a member of CUHK Men’s Water Polo Team, National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Hong Kong China Swimming Association (HKGSA) Certified Swimming Teacher.

 

As a Hong Kong PhD fellowship recipient, he is currently working towards applying biomechanics methods to understand the motor learning of children with special educational needs. His research interests span across the inter-relationship of three keywords, namely “Sports”, “Science” and “Learning”, and hence lead to his involvement several other research projects, including performance analysis in sports, STEM in Physical Education and assessment of movement patterns in special populations.

 

In addition, Mr. Ho is a member of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS) and Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise (ASAPE). He is keen on transferring knowledge through local and international conferences, which include Asian Society of Sports Biomechanics Conference and Hong Kong Physical Education Teachers Conference.
