Primary School – Ecological Dynamics Study (RGC)
Project Detail (January 2025 – Present)
- The Primary School Ecological Dynamics Study research project is led by CUHK’s Department of Sports Science and funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC). It explores the effectiveness of ecological dynamics in advancing physical literacy and health in local primary schools through structured interventions. The assessment protocol is designed to be school-based and minimally disruptive.
- As the service provider, PLACY® is responsible for test administration, manpower support, and site planning. The team supports participating schools in completing four rounds of assessments, covering cardiorespiratory fitness, fundamental movement skills, and related domains.
- Preliminary school feedback indicates strong compatibility between the testing workflow and existing teaching routines. The programme is seen as contributing to a positive health culture on campus and improving understanding of the link between daily activity and overall wellbeing.
