• Following the completion of the theoretical and practical training sessions, participants of the PLACY® Sports Media Practical Workshop undertook their practicum at the 2026 Hong Kong Sports Press Association 3×3 Basketball Invitational, applying their knowledge and skills in a live sporting event while undertaking a range of sports media roles.

• During the practicum, participants were involved in event photography, media coverage, live commentary, and content production, gaining first-hand experience of professional sports media operations within an authentic competition environment. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, they further developed their technical competencies, communication skills, teamwork, and ability to respond effectively in live event settings. PLACY® also provided on-site reaction time and body composition assessments, enabling participants to experience the application of sports science in understanding physical performance while promoting the concepts of physical literacy and health management.

• The practicum provided valuable experiential learning opportunities that strengthened the integration of sports education, sports media, and sports science. By combining professional training with authentic workplace experience, the programme broadened participants’ understanding of career pathways within the sports industry. PLACY® will continue to provide professional development and experiential learning opportunities to cultivate future talent and advance the development of physical literacy and sports education.
