PLACY® x NYBO Youth Basketball Open (Hong Kong Division) U12

• PLACY® participated in the NYBO Youth Basketball Open (Hong Kong Division) U12 Finals, organised by Eastern Sports Club, by hosting an interactive exhibition booth that engaged young athletes, parents, and members of the public through sports challenges and physical literacy promotion activities.

• During the event, PLACY® introduced the Agility Run Challenge, providing participants with the opportunity to experience assessments of speed, reaction time, and agility while gaining a practical understanding of sports performance evaluation. Through interactive activities and professional guidance, the team promoted the importance of physical literacy and highlighted the role of evidence-based assessment in supporting the physical development and long-term health of children and adolescents.

• The event further strengthened PLACY®’s collaboration with local sports organisations and the wider community while integrating physical literacy promotion into a major youth sporting event. By engaging participants in experiential learning, the programme enhanced public awareness of children’s and adolescents’ physical development. PLACY® will continue to promote physical literacy through sporting events, school-based programmes, and community initiatives, working with diverse stakeholders to support healthy, active lifestyles among children and young people.
