Training Assessment
Three-phase Standardised Assessment
- As the core foundation of the programme, the three-phase standardised assessment was designed by the sports science team at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Integrating internationally recognised assessment tools with locally informed research practices, the assessment evaluates multiple dimensions of physical ability. Each participant receives an individualised report to support teachers and parents in understanding students’ potential and developmental needs.
- The assessment covers seven key domains: cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination.
- All assessments are conducted using a standardised pre-test and post-test protocol and serve as a reference for subsequent training design. The assessment framework has been well received by participating schools and provides an important evidence base for follow-up training courses and intervention planning.
